Hampton Roads, what an incredible evening at the COVA Coalition Candidate Forum! If you missed it, I took the stage to share exactly why we need a true, people-first progressive representing Virginia's 2nd District in Congress.

​As a community hospital doctor, Yale-trained attorney, and brand new working mom, I understand the struggles of everyday families because I live them. Here is a breakdown of the bold policy positions I discussed at the debate:

​Guaranteeing Universal Healthcare: I refuse to accept a piecemeal healthcare system that lets people fall through the cracks. I am fighting for universal coverage that uplifts human dignity.

​Lowering Costs for Working Families: I strongly support the Working Americans Tax Cut Act to give immediate financial relief to those living paycheck-to-paycheck, while ensuring billionaires finally pay their fair share.

​Protecting Our Veterans: With a housing and mental health crisis among our veterans, I am pushing for fully funded VA mental health services and housing support, plus restoring Medicaid to its full capacity.

​Defending Democracy: I am proudly refusing all corporate PAC and foreign interest money. I support term limits and a complete ban on individual stock trading in Congress.

​Real Lived Experience: Congress has plenty of retired multi-millionaires. We need a representative who knows what it is like to raise a family, work in the community, and manage student loans.
