May Day
Today, on May Day, I was proud to stand alongside Chesapeake organizers and community members at the May Day Strong rally with MoveOn and Veterans for Peace 757.
May Day has always been about something simple but powerful: respect for work and dignity for the people who keep our communities running.
But right now, too many workers in District 2 are being asked to do more with less while billionaires and big corporations continue to pull ahead.
That’s why today wasn’t just symbolic. It was a call to action.
We need:
Wages that actually keep up with the cost of living
Affordable healthcare and housing
The right to organize and be heard on the job
An economy that works for working people not just those at the top
I’m running for Congress because I know we can build an economy that puts workers over billionaires, every single time.
Today reminded me: when we stand together, we are powerful. And this movement is only growing. ![]()
