Seatack Civic League
Last week I had the opportunity to attend the candidate forum hosted by the Seatack Civic League in Virginia Beach.
Seatack is one of the most historic communities in our region, and it was an honor to spend the evening listening to residents, answering questions, and talking about the issues that matter most—affordability, healthcare access, infrastructure, and the future of our community.
Civic leagues like Seatack play an essential role in keeping local democracy strong. They create space for neighbors to come together, ask tough questions, and hold leaders accountable.
As both a doctor and a lawyer—and someone who calls Hampton Roads home—I believe that leadership starts with listening. Conversations like the one we had in Seatack are exactly how we build policies that reflect the real needs of our community.
Thank you to the Seatack Civic League for hosting such a thoughtful and engaged discussion. I’m grateful for the chance to be part of it and to continue earning your trust.
