While earning her J.D., she served as President of the Harvard Graduate and Professional Student Government (HGPSG), a role I held two years later. The position was very challenging, and she passed on many valuable lessons to me. I first showed up to an HGPSG meeting in the second half of a school year, and she welcomed my involvement with open arms, even encouraging me to take the lead in organizing an upcoming graduation celebration event for the university. It required complex coordination with a large volunteer team, active communication with the student bodies at 12 schools, contracts with vendors, management of speakers, and many other tasks.
